Team Effort Saves Two From Fire

A team effort by dispatchers, law enforcement officers and firefighters In Gladwin (Mich.) ended with the rescue of two disabled persons trapped behind a wall of flames. Police officers and state police managed to pull one person from the fire, but couldn’t reach an invalid in a back bedroom. Fortunately a dispatcher had told the residents to shut the door to the bedroom as they fled, keeping the room relatively clear of smoke and flames. Arriving firefighters were able to reach the man and rescue him. Read more about the fire here.
