A Wisconsin woman who passed out from a diabetic problem and crashed into a tree dialed her mother for help, but Rock County dispatchers had a solution: when the mother called them, they had the victim dial 911 so their Phase II system could quickly locate her. The victim only knew she was on Highway J somewhere, but the E911 system pinpointed her, and emergency units arrived within 7 minutes. Watch a TV report here.
