911 Caller Spots Murder Suspect

A 911 caller who spotted a murder suspect at a DeKKalb County (Geo.) gas station stayed on the phone for 12 minutes as deputies responded to the scene, and even asked the dispatcher if it was okay to “take him down.” The dispatcher told the man to stay in his car, where he watched Gary Hilton clean out his van and throw the materials in a nearby dumpster. Hilton was wanted for the the kidnap and murder of a woman whose body was later found in rural north Georgia. “You guys gotta hurry,” the man said at one point, but then noticed deputies arriving. “Here comes the cops!” he exclaimed.
