Officials in Hamiton County (Tenn.) and the city of Chattanoga have approved a complete merger of their public safety communications operations under the county 911 board, and the addition of 28 additional positions to handle the workload. The two agencies along with the town of East Ridge were already housed at the same center. The new agreement will move all the dispatchers under the same payroll and administrative structure.
