Chemical Plant 911 Calls Reveal Little

Several 911 calls from officials at a Kanawha County (WV) agricultural chemical plant provided little information about what was actually occurring during a declared emergency. The plant experienced a chemical leak that left several persons hospitalized, but for several hours officials at Bayer CropScience classified the incident as “minor” and said it was confined to the plant property.
