San Francisco (Calif.) police have released 18 pages of CAD logs documenting 911 calls and radio transmissions made after a tiger escaped from its enclosure on Christmas day, killing one man and seriously mauling two others. The logs show that the initial 911 call from a zoo employee reported two men with possible psychiatric problems, one bleeding from the back of his head. Zoo officials declared a “Code 1″ emergency and refused to allow emergency workers onto the zoo property, the logs show, delaying medical treatment for the three men. The logs also draw a picture of the confusion as officers finally entered and began looking for the loose tiger. Read more about the CAD logs here, or download (pdf, 8 Mb) the scanned-in Tiburon Inc. CAD logs from multiple radio channels of the police and fire departments here (columns indicate time, ID of person who entered the CAD entry, type of entry, and the entry text, usually with the involved unit ID such as “3I13D.”).
