Officials in Cambria County (Penn.) have not revealed what, if any, discipline has been handed out to five dispatchers and a township police chief for their handling of a gunfire incident along a National Park trail in November. Several persons were pinned down by rifle fire from an unknown person for almost an hour, despite several 911 calls reporting the incident. Several dispatchers shuffled the calls among agencies, bringing statements that they’d be disciplined, but without specifics. At least one police chief was dispatched to the incident but never arrived. Township officials refuse to say if he’ll be disciplined. Read an update here.
