Shotgun Murder Caught on 911 Call

A Colorado Springs (Colo.) dispatcher was on the line with a 911 caller as a gunman opened fire with a shotgun, killing one teenager, wounding another and leaving a third with serious head injuries. A hang-up 911 call prompted the dispatcher to call the cellular phone back, reaching a teen who said his vehicle was being pursued by another teen. Police say the encounter was prompted by the break-up of the gunman and a girl in the fleeing vehicle. During the 8-minute 911 call, there is conversation between the dispatcher and caller until the shooting begins. After that, there is screaming and finally silence.
