Hernando County (Fla.) sheriff’s officials have released a 7-minute logging recorder tape of a mother reporting that her 25 year-old son had arrived at her house intoxicated and violent, ending with the son being fatally shot by deputies. The encounter ended a series of 911 calls and vehicle accidents, apparently sparked by the son’s break-up with his girlfriend. Deputies responded to the house, and the son came outside and fired his handgun. He was then shot and killed by two deputies, officials said. Read the story and listen to the logging tape here.
