Newspaper Investigates Calif. 911

An investigation by the Los Angeles Times newspaper found that about 20% of incoming 911 calls in California have no location (ALI) information, forcing dispatchers to question the caller about their location–if the caller even knows where they are. The newspaper also found that without ALI, dispatchers might misunderstand the location given by the caller, or misspell the location when entering it in CAD. Read the full story here.
