The Camden County (Geo.) commissioners have voted to strip the sheriff’s office of its comm center operation, in reaction to the sheriff’s annual budget request that the commissioners felt was too high. The commissioners had no objection to how the center was being operated, but felt there were budget uncertainties for the sheriff’s office that would jeopardize the 24/7 operation of the comm center.
