Web Site Slams Giuliani on FDNY Radios

A Web site with political overtones criticizes former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani for his handling of the September 11th terrorist attacks, and more specifically how his administration handled a fire department radio system upgrade. “The Read Rudy” Web site includes slickly-produced videos that raise questions about why Motorola was awarded the contract for the XTS3500 portable radios with competitive bidding, why there was no field testing of the new radios, and why the upgrade cost jumped from $1.4 million to $14 million? The Web site seems to be asking the questions raised by family members whose loved ones died in the World Trade Center attacks, but also seems intent on a political jab at Giuliani. Read their criticisms and watch the videos here.
