The Wisconsin DOJ has released tapes of 13 calls made to 911 in connection with the shooting deaths of six persons in Crandon by off-duty Forest County sheriff’s deputy Tyler Peterson. The calls were made to dispatchers at both Forest and Langlade Counties, reporting that shots had been heard at a house, and then several calls during the shoot-out that ended with the deputy’s suicide the next day. The DOJ is withholding several other 911 call tapes, saying their release would hinder the on-going criminal investigation. Listen (mp3) to the 911 logging tapes here.
