Grandmother Describes Child’s Death

A horrible scene is described in a 911 call made by a grandmother in Foxbridge (Conn.), who told a dispatcher that her 2 year-old grandson had slipped in the bathtub, struck his head, and was dead. Marcia Maglisco, 62, told a West Hartford police dispatcher, “I’m psychotic,” adding, “I want the police to shoot me, if they could.” Maglisco declined to perform CPR on the child. She was arrested and held overnight, but then released on $250,000 bail. Two days later she was found dead at home, apparently by hanging herself. Read the 911 call transcript here.
