Officers at the Indianapolis Metro Police department have discovered that the orange emergency button on their Motorola portable radios doesn’t work as advertised. About 600 radios need to be re-programmed, officials said after finding out about the glitch. The Indianapolis PD and Marion County Sheriff combined back in January, creating a software glitch that dropped the emergency button feature. Ironically, no officer has pushed the button for an actual emergency since the glitch was created. Watch a TV report on the situation here.
