Worcester County (Mass.) officials recently met to plan for critical incidents at Wachusett Regional High School, which serves five communities in the county, and found that communications among public safety agencies is still an unsolved critical issue. The sheriff has a mobile command vehicle, but it would take time to arrive and begin coordinating the various agencies, officials learned, and there is still the problem of different agencies on different radio frequencies.
