911 CARES Activation for Fire

The 911 CARES program is asking for support from the dispatch community for Columbia County (Fla.) dispatcher Kelly Daniels, who house and belongings were destroyed by fire. The incident occurred while Kelly, her husband and three children were home, and they were able to safely flee, leaving them with a car and the clothes on their backs. The house had been will to the Daniels by her mother, and carried no insurance. So the family is living with different relatives until they can get back on their feet. “Please consider cleaning out your closet or stopping by Wal-Mart and picking up a gift card,” says Kevin Willeett of 911 CARES. “This family has nothing except a few clothes and items given by the Red Cross and the local Fire Department.” You can make a donation via VISA.
