Little two year-old Alana Miller did the right thing and used the right word when her mother went unconscious from a migraine headache. The toddler managed to correctly dial 911 when her mom collapsed at home on Whidbey Island (Wash.) Naval Air Station, and used the only two words she could get out to describe what had happened: “Mommie owie.” Stories about the incident don’t identify the male dispatcher or his agency, but kudos to that person for quickly recognizing the situation and getting help to the mother, who fully recovered.
