A fire that displaced a Phillipsburg (Netherlands Antilles) family also sparked an investigation into why their 911 calls went unanswered and possibly caused a response delay. Technicians from the phone company on the Caribbean island discovered that the problem exists only for subscribers to TelCell cellular, and that other landline and wireless users are being properly routed to the comm center that opened about a year ago. According to officials, the TelCell customers are being routed to a 7-digit number that wasn’t answered during the fire.
