Former Michigan police chief Larry Briggs is on trial for stalking women, including Clinton County dispatcher Suzy Bunge, who kicked off his trial with testimony that Briggs arrested her husband after she rebuffed his “annoying” advances. Bunge was working at the Elsie Police Department in 2002 when she says Briggs invited her on ride-alongs, but she declined. Another woman is scheduled to testify that Briggs called her 38 times asking her out, eventually filing an official complaint with the police. Read more about the start of the trial here.
