Consultant: Merger Would Save $$$

A consultant found that public safety agencies in Larimer County (Colo.) could save up to $3.5 million a year if they merged five public safety comm centers into one. But in the next breath, consultants from GeoComm warned that the current political, management, operational and technology environment precludes a consolidation project from succeeding. Some of the agencies are skeptical about the level of savings, and say the current system already works well. Read more about the debate here
