Teen Meets Savior Dispatcher

Robby Richardson, 16, suffered a heart attack last June, but a Washington County (Ore.) dispatcher was able to give a bystander CPR instructions to save his life. Richardson an the dispatchers just re-united after he underwent several surgeries and is recovering. Read the story and watch the video here. The story doesn’t mention it, but it was dispatcher Yvonne Harrel of the Washington County Consolidation Communications Agency who handled the call reporting the incident. The 20-year veteran gave Robby’s mother CPR instructions, while paramedics from Metro West Ambulance and Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue responded and treated the victim.
