The New York City Fire Department has released audio logging tapes of radio broadcasts made during a fatal high-rise fire on August 18th. Two firefighters died fighting a fire in a building undergoing demotion in Manhattan. The building surrounded by scaffolding and wrapped in plywood, standpipes weren’t turned on and one construction elevator was working, all contributing to deadly conditions.
