The FCC has posted the entire 352-page Report & Order on the upcoming 700 MHz band auction, including the public-private partnership intended to create a nationwide public safety radio system. The FCC approved the rules July 31st, ending months of speculation and intense lobbying over how to allocate the band. The R&O contains several diagrams outlining how the 700 MHz band is allocated now, and how it will be divided up after the rules take effect and the band is auctioned. Download (pdf) the R&O here. Also download (pdf) the prepared comments on the R&O by FCC commissioners Martin, Copps, Adelstein, Tate, and McDowell.
