A Washington state auditor’s investigation found that the Southwest Snohomish County Public Safety Communication Agency has never filed required reports to the state on its spending. State officials note that they don’t anticipate that the agency has done anything wrong, and that it’s just one of many smaller agencies who don’t know what the state’s reporting requirements are. SNOCOM Director Steven Perry he has spoken to state officials about the required reports and a specific reporting format that’s required, and told a reporter, “We wish we would have known so we could do it (the correct) way.”
