Details on FCC Chief’s Auction Plan

A USA Today story has outlined some of the provisions of FCC chair Kevin Martin’s proposal on the upcoming auction of spectrum, including a possible allocation for public safety to build a nationwide network. According to the story, the so-called “D Block” for public safety would have limited and controlled access, unlike some other spectrum blocks being auctioned next February.
