Albany (Geo.) dispatcher Alisa Williams, 25, was arrested and charged with theft after an investigation over a missing computer and monitor led investigators to her house. Police say they had just installed computer gear at the comm center for emergency preparedness and training, and then noticed that a computer and LCD screen were missing. When evidence led to Williams, they obtained a search warrant, and say they found the gear at Williams’ house. She’s a 2-year veteran of the agency and has been suspended, officials said, while they process paperwork to have her fired. Police said the computers were protected by a password. They said Williams took the locked computer to a store to have it unlocked, but the technician suspected something was amiss when he realized that the city owned the computer. He called police, leading to Williams’ arrest.
