The FCC has resolved two disputes between Sprint/Nextel and the city of Naperville (Ill.) and the state of Maryland over how the company should pay for 800 MHz rebanding tasks. In the former case the FCC ruled that so-called “drive testing” is not something Sprint/Nextel must pay for, and in the latter case the Commission said the company must pay for the city’s internal costs but only some of a consultant’s costs.
