Tape Part of Shooting Trial

A logging tape of a San Bernardino County (Calif.) shooting is part of the evidence in the trial of a sheriff’s deputy who ended up shooting the occupant of a car he chased. Ivory Webb Jr., 46, is on trial for attempted voluntary manslaughter after a neighbor’s video of the incident showed him shooting without apparent provocation. The logging tape was played for the jury, and it revealed that Webb’s first words came after he stopped the vehicle and had confronted two occupants. The location he gave was incorrect, prompting the dispatcher to tell him, “Ivory, you have to give us a better 10-20.” Read more about the incident and tape here.
