Help for Dispatcher After Tragedy

The 911 CARES program has issued an appeal for help in the case of a dispatcher and his wife whose 3 month-old son tragically suffocated while sleeping. Chattanooga (Tenn.) police dispatcher Eddie Bencosme and his wife Sarah were on a trip in New York City when the incident occurred, and now face expenses for taking their son back home for burial. The costs aren’t covered by insurance and, even with cost reductions by a local funeral home, the couple can’t afford the ~$6,000 expense.
