A tragedy over the Mother’s Day weekend, when the 12 year-old daughter of Elk Grove (N. Calif.) police comm center manager Lynn Bowler drowned in their backyard swimming pool. According to police accounts, Andrea Bowler was found by her older sister, and attempts to revive her were unsuccessful. The 911 CARES program says you can send cards to: Lynn Bowler, Elk Grove Police Dept., 8400 Laguna Palms Way, Elk Grove, CA 95758. They have also established a summer camp scholarship fund in Andrea’s name at a local church, so donations are also being accepted.
