An Iowa state legislator who helped write the state’s 911 law now feels obligated to test the Phase II features periodically. A story in the Sioux City Journal newspaper reviews upgrading the 911 network to accept text and photos. It then quotes Rep. Clel Baudlersaying saying, “he likes to test the system by calling 911. He first makes sure he isn’t taking the dispatcher away from any actual emergencies, then he identifies himself as a state legislator and asks a simple question: ‘Where am I?'” Read the story here.
