The federal General Accounting Office (GAO) has issued a report on preparations by the DHS and FEMA for major disasters, and how they’ve complied with legislative mandates. The 41-page report is a little heavy on planning and preparedness lingo, but it does provide some bullet points that local agencies–and even comm centers–can use to create their own preparedness plan.
