The Progress and Freedom Foundation held a March seminar titled “Public Safety Communications: Time for a New Approach,” attended by some think-tankers, consultants and one lone public safety representative from a city fire department. The Foundation bills itself as “a market-oriented think tank that studies the digital revolution and its implications for public policy.” They’ve now posted a transcript of the seminar, including remarks from attendees representing law firm Perkins Cole LLP, the First Response Coalition and Frontline Wireless.
