PlantCML Buys REVERSE 911

PlantCML announced today announced that they have acquired Sigma Communications, creator of the REVERSE 911 emergency notification system for public safety agencies, for an undisclosed price. PlantCML markets E911, computer telephony Integrated (CTI) workstations, CAD, VoIP, next-generation 911 and other solutions. Sigma was founded in 2000, is headquartered in Indianapolis (Ind.), and has 400 customers and about 60 employees. Their REVERSE 911 system allows public safety and other agencies to make notifications via telephone based on specific geographic areas. In a press release, PlantCML president Tim Fuller said, “Notification and response technologies are now an imperative for communities and organizations everywhere. With the acquisition of REVERSE 911, no company is better positioned to deliver a complete critical communications solution.” He said that, “It’s very much business as usual for customers,” and did not indicate any executive position or other personnel changes after the purchase.
