The Kansas City (Mo.) police department has released two portions of logging tapes that detail radio transmissions during a shooting incident that left an officer wounded, the suspect dead and three citizens murdered. An officer initially stopped a wanted vehicle and was shot by the driver. The suspect then showed up at a mall parking lot, shot and killed three shoppers, and after being cornered by police shot himself. Listen to the radio tapes and take note of control of the channel, use of alert tone, free air time, command and control, location descriptions and coordination by the dispatcher.
