8-1-1 Campaign Kicks Off

The nation’s underground utility and pipeline industries have kicked off their public education campaign to publicize the now-operational 8-1-1 number for reporting excavations. The Common Ground Alliance is using the tagline, “Know what’s below. Call before you dig,” slogan to have businesses and even ordinary citizens dial 8-1-1 to learn if there are buried utilities in the area. Check the campaign’s Web site here.
