NENA Issues NG911 Reports

NENA has issued two new reports on the subject of Next Generation 911, including making the transition and funding systems. The former report outlines the challenges for moving from today’s analog systems to an IP-based, digital 911 network. The latter report notes that current telephone subscriber-based funding methods are 30 years old, and don’t take into account the many other methods used to contact PSAPs.
