Task Force Investigation Posted

An Oregon task force of emergency personnel has issued a 17-page report that summarizes recommendations for improving the state’s search and rescue operations, sparked by an incident involving a San Francisco family who became lost in the wilderness last Thanksgiving. The recommendations focus mostly on lines of authority, incident management and coordination among the many agencies that become involved in cross-jurisdictional searches. Download (pdf) a copy of the report here.
