Vonage 911 Call From Korea

A record-setting 911 call from a Vonage customer in South Korea fell into the lap of a St. Clair County (Ill.) dispatcher just before 5 a.m. one morning. The call came from the wife of an American military member reporting that she had been assaulted. The woman had moved from her home in the county two days earlier to the country from the United States, and was still relying on her Vonage IP connection for phone services. The dispatcher stayed on the line for 45 minutes while another dispatcher contacted nearby Scott Air Force Base for assistance. Read more here.
