Calif. Completes Comm Survey

A California state committee on public safety radio planning has reported to the legislature that 2006 was a “very productive” year for the group, but that the state’s geographic diversity and large population present challenges in achieving interoperability. The Public Safety Radio Strategic Planning Committee found through a survey that from 47% to 81% of state agencies had obsolete radio gear, and that funding must be a priority in 2007.
