Anne Arundel County (Md.) has released the audit of the public safety comm center performed by the Association of Public Safety Communications Officials (APCO), which was made as part of lawsuit settlement. In the 35-page audit, APCO made several recommendations on quality assurance, comm center layout and equipment, new lighting, improved supervision, and changes in how policies, procedures and training are handled. The family of Yvette Beakes requested the audit in their settlement of a lawsuit, filed on behalf of their daughter who died in a 2001 kidnapping and murder incident.
