Long-Time Dispatcher Dies

The San Francisco Dept. of Emergency Management says long-time city employee and public safety comm center supervisor Toni Hardley has died peacefully in her sleep at age 61. She was a San Francisco native and began her career with the city at the school district in 1963. She moved to the police department’s juvenile bureau, and then became a dispatcher 1978. She was promoted to supervisor in 1989. Overall, she gave 43 years of service to the city. She is survived by her husband, daughter, two sons and many grandchildren.
