A Meriden (Conn.) police dispatcher used the old “horn” method of locating a stabbing victim who dialed 911 for help but who couldn’t give his location. The unnamed dispatcher had officers blow their horns as they approached the area, and then directed officers based on what he/she heard on the telephone. The victim was located in a park and taken to a hospital, where his injuries were serious but not life-threatening.
