Incredibly, yet another nationwide public safety radio proposal has been floated by a group that includes a former FCC chairman, former NITA head and a cellular company founder. Frontline Wireless claims that its plan would “offer first responders more spectrum for fully mobile broadband communications and free buildout of a nationwide, interoperable network over which public safety agencies would have control.” The intend to launch a bidding group for a future auction of 700 MHz frequencies. Find the group’s Web site here, or download (pdf) the group’s proposal as filed with the FCC.
