New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson announced a new number for cellular callers to report intoxicated drivers on the state’s roadways–#394 or #DWI. The program is funded with a $200,000 grant, and was sparked in part by a 5-fatality crash on I-25 where the suspect driver drank whiskey on an airplane home and then bought beer at a gas station before driving the wrong way on the highway and crashing into a van.
