911 Call Question

A Louisiana state district court judge has ruled that the prosecutor cannot introduce the logging tapes of 911 calls related to domestic violence charges against New Orleans Saints player Jammal Brown. The female victim has not appeared in court, and the defense has said the 911 tapes alone would violate Brown’s constitutional right to confront his accuser. Interestingly, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled last year that such calls can be admitted under certain circumstances.
