Metro Nashville (Tenn.) council member Michael Craddock has called on city 911 director RoxAnn Brown to resign, and if she refuses, the mayor should fire her. Brown was later suspended for three days by Metro 911 board for failing to follow through with the board’s instructions on how EMS incidents should be handled. The councilman wrote a to Brown citing her, “apparent gross insubordination as a result of her not following orders from the Board that oversees the department.” WTVF-TV recently spotlighted what they consider to be on-going problems at the city’s 911 center. Craddock wrote, “I must say to you that I almost became physically sick to my stomach as I listened to the tapes of calls where tremendous mistakes had been made.” Read the letter here.
