Despite protests from M/A-COMM, the Riverside County (S. Calif.) supervisors approved spending $148 million on a Motorola trunked radio system for public safety agencies. M/A-COMM officials said their bid included tower land and aquisition costs, while Motorola’s did not. M/A-COMM said it will formally appeal the bid award. Read more here.
