Radio System Behind Schedule

A planned new radio network in Nassau County (NY) is months behind schedule, according to a Newsday story, partly because various government agencies have refused to participate and citizen groups have resisted antenna installations. The $46-million, Motorola-built system would allow the county’s agencies to communicate among one another, replacing a 24 year-old system that suffers from dead spots.
